Chico High School hosted a signing ceremony for high school seniors attending Butte College career programs. The signing was attended by representatives from Butte College’s Advanced Manufacturing program and the HVAC-R program. The signing was an opportunity for Chico High School graduates to get to know their new instructors, and to officially sign on to become a part of these training programs.
Natanael Alvarez-Prado (far left, seated) joined the HVAC-R program which is designed to produce students with internships and hands-on experience with industry-aligned skills. Natanael will learn to install, commission, operate, and maintain residential, commercial, and industrial Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) systems.
Josh Amatuccio, Colin Hoffman and Ben Owen (seated left to right, next to Natanael) joined the Advanced Manufacturing program, which presents a range of opportunities to earn small industry-recognized certificates, as well as a more comprehensive Certificate of Achievement in Advanced Manufacturing. They now have access to diverse experiential learning opportunities within the progressive curriculum, using advanced technology, industry cooperation, and alumni support to prepare them for futures in the manufacturing industry
All students are in the Class of 2021 at Chico High School, and enrolled for in-person programs for the fall semester at Butte College.
